Wild boars and stray animals are attracted to food smells. Never keep food inside your tent. Pack it in sealed bags and hang it from a tall tree branch at least 20 meters away from your sleeping zone.
Cyprus and southern Turkey are home to scorpions. Keep your tent zipped closed at all times. Always shake out your boots, clothing, and sleeping bags before putting them on or climbing in.
