1. Classic Menemen (Camp-Style Eggs with Tomatoes)
The ultimate single-burner camping meal. Quick, hot, and perfect for dipping fresh bread directly from the pan.
Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 2 Tomatoes (diced or canned)
- 2 Green peppers (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Butter or olive oil
- Salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes
- Fresh Turkish bread
Steps
- Heat butter or olive oil in your camp pan. Sauté the chopped green peppers for 2-3 minutes until soft.
- Add the diced tomatoes. Cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
- Pour in the beaten eggs, add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir gently on low heat for 1-2 minutes until cooked but still juicy.
